Theatre Maker/Videography/Director

Dan Hill is a freelance Theatre Maker, Facilitator and Videographer with over 18 years of experience in creating and directing productions and projects primarily with and for young people. As a freelance artist he specialises in making work in non-theatre settings from large scale outdoor productions to intimate shows that tour care schemes and hospices.

His work is process focused and ensemble driven; creating safe and supportive rehearsal environments that allow participants to express themselves freely.

His use of digital technology in his theatre work has led him producing video content for various creative companies around the UK. Dan was Creative Learning Manager at The Point and Berry Theatre’s for 8 years where he ran the youth theatre and outreach department; directing youth productions, running wide reaching education, training, and artist development programs, working with disengaged and hard to reach people through community outreach schemes as well as producing various festivals and events.
