Matt Hawksworth

Matt is currently Head of Children & Young People's Programme at Chichester Festival Theatre. He trained at Mountview (Sir John Mills Scholarship) and with the National Youth Music Theatre.


He has worked as a performer in music theatre, opera and commercials, including at Birmingham Rep, Glyndebourne, Kilworth House, Riverside Studios and in the London 2012 Olympic Ceremony. Matt has taught & choreographed for leading UK drama schools, NYMT and directed West Side Story for the 120th anniversary at Birmingham Hippodrome, the first main-stage youth production at the venue, bringing together young people from across the West Midlands.


Matt taught the Perse School, Cambridge for nearly 6 years and was recently Young People's Producer for Pavilion Dance South West.
